MVP’s Arts and Commerce College Library, Vani was established with the inception of the college in 1972. The Library is located in the main building with spacious reading rooms and stack room. Total carpet area of the library is 6475.57sq.ft. Library has good collection on different areas of knowledge i.e, humanities,, Language & Literature, Social Sciences, Commerce and Management.

Our Best Practices

Complete library automation using “AutoLib” library software.
Digitisation is in process.
Attendance of students and teachers in Research and Reference Section and Reading hall is recorded every day and entry and exit register with sign is mentioned. This helps in taking some policy decision about services.
OPAC is made available for readers
Newspaper Clippings are displayed on regular basis
Competitive Examination Section is created for students
Information about the library is published every year in the college prospectus.
Library Orientation Programs/Information Literacy Programs and demonstrations about using e-resources is regular features of the library
Open Access Facility in all the sections of the library.
Suggestion box is available for students to make suggestions
New Arrival Display is regular features
Library is under CCTV surveillance
Occasional Book Display/Exhibitions are held on regular basis
Annual Library Report is published in the college magazine KARMAVEER.

Admission Fee Receipt. Note – If the membership is not taken within the due date, then we could not help in providing library facilities to the readers. LIBRARIAN

Sr.	Rule
1	Library will remain open from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on all working days.
2	Every Student should get identity card issued from the library at the time of admission.
3	Every student must possess identity card while making use of library services.
4	In case a student loses ID he/she should pay Rs.100/ for the duplicate ID.
5	A student can borrow two books at a time for 7 days. Thereafter fine of Rs.2/- per day will be changed.
6	Library membership is not transferable. In case of misuse it will be cancelled.
7	Books and other reading material will be issued to the student as per the time table.
8	Books and other reading material issued to a student may be renewed, provided there is no reservation against it.
9	Reference books, Rare Books, news paper, current issues or bound volumes of periodicals are intended to be used in the library premises only.
10	Users must handle the books carefully. In case of lost, torn, damaged books, one and half times of the original price or more will be charged.
11	Users can photocopy or print the document within the limits of copyright act shall be solely responsible in case of its violation.
12	Silence and strict discipline should be maintained in the library.
13	Use of mobile phone and eatables are strictly prohibited.
14	In case of any problem they can approach to the Librarian for their complaints or can drop their complaints/suggestions in the suggestion box
