Introduction

The YashwantraoChavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) was established in July 1989 by Act XX- (1989) of the Maharashtra State Legislature. It is the Fifth Open University in the country. The jurisdiction of this university, originally for the State of Maharashtra, has now been extended beyond this State and the university can now operate anywhere across the globe. The University offers several offline programmes and has also embarked on a number of innovative online initiatives. The YCMOU has its headquarters at Nashik and provides support to its learners through study centres, which are spread all over the State of Maharashtra.
The main aim of the YCMOU is to become a Mass Varsity and to make available to the common man, educational programmes that are of practical use in his day-to-day life and those that provide better prospects for the future. The University offers several offline programmes and has also embarked on a number of innovative online initiatives. The YCMOU has its headquarters at Nashik, Regional Centres at 8 districts and the study centres spread all over the State of Maharashtra. Maharashtra has a long and rich tradition of educational reforms. Mahatma JyotibaPhule, Dr.PanjabraoDeshmukh, Dr.BabasahebAmbedkar, BhauraoPatil, Swami RamanandTeerth and other great thinkers and reformers have contributed to educational philosophy and movement in the state.

Course Under YCMOU Study Centre
Ycmou Study centre was established inJune 2005in K.R.T. Arts and Commerce College, VaniThe Study Centre runs Following courses effectively.

- Preparatory ,
- B. A.
- B.Com.

Students from various discipline enrolled themselves from distance learning programme in YCMOU. The age group of students enrolled for this programme varies from 18 years to 60 years. This year nearly 20councellers were appointed to guide students in their concerned discipline .It is the (Co –Ordinater,Ycmou) Assist. ProfessorDr. P. M. Kamble, who collects books from the YCMOU and distribute the books to concerned Students.For this work of work distribution.Asssitant Prof U.B.Deshmukh (Assistant Coordinator) shri.ShankarPawar(peon, ycmou) gave me helping hand.The YCMOU vanicenter has kept details account of the students enrolled for various courses,separate file is prepaired by Assist.Prof.P M Kamble which provides details information of the studentes ,who have enrolled themselves for different courses .Apart from this 24 hours guidance and assistance is provide by Assist.Prof P M Kambleto all the students of ycmoucentervani.
For the students the center has conducted regular lecture for all the subjects opted by the students,also regularly Home Assignment is collected from students by Assist-Prof P M Kamble.Theseassigmmentswere latter on submitted to the concerned Subject teacher for evaluation. The marks or grades obtained from subject teacher are addedeto students final exam marks.

In the monthof May –June the departments conducted final exam scheduled as per given by the YCMOU. To conduct final exam Assist-Dr. P. M. Kamblehas to take initiatives and Appoint the requires staff for smooth operation of final exams.
